Animal Science Division
Overview
Realizing the coexistence of human beings with other animals requires achieving both the sustainable production of animal resources related to food production, and the conservation of rare animal resources, both of which have become important issues on a global scale. Based on animal sciences including embryology, genetics, physiology, nutrition, theriogenology, and ethology as common ground, this department features learning advanced and sophisticated knowledge and techniques involved in animal biology and physiology. We educate and conduct research to develop human resources who can broadly contribute to industries related to feed management, functional development and production, as well as the conservation of, and exhibit education and maintenance of animals.
